CollectionSuites’ Founder takes on his fifth race at the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge
On Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25th, 2019, the riveting IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge took place during the Michelin GT Challenge at the Virginia International Raceway. Our founder, Juan Manuel Fayen continues to rev his engines as he takes on his fifth race of the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, as part of CollectionSuites’ team FMS Motorsport.
The eighteen-year-old Roman DeAngelis, who’s had a remarkable track record this season, showed great promise as he dominated both practice races on Friday. However, things took a turn on the Saturday and Sunday races, when Maxwell Root scored his first win at the cup, with the unbeatable lap times of 1:58.967 on race 1, and 1:48.495 on race 2. DeAngelis finished second on race one with a 36-second time gap, and fourth on race two.
CollectionSuites’ Fayen also delivered an outstanding performance on what is, undoubtedly, one of the most challenging racetracks in North America. Throughout the championship, Fayen has consistently continued to improve his lap time and numbers. His courage and dedication prove that it’s never too late to pursue your passion.
With only two races left for the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge, the competition remains fierce. Stay tuned and we’ll keep you posted on our founder’s journey at this adrenaline-fueled tournament.
